Hi!
Iīve been getting into walking bass a lot lately, and i know a lot of technics already and stuff!
Now i searched the forums for some topics and everywhere I can find names of great bassist who did walking very good....but I canīt find names of actual cds or songs and artists which have some walking in them!

Can you suggest some? Iīm not just searching for jazz walking bass, also for simple 12 bar blues walks...and i donīt find any!

Try some SRV or some BB King. It's not my thing but it's all 12 bar walking.

Any of the Robben Ford CD's with Roscoe Beck. In fact any blues thing Roscoes shows up for will be excellent. Donald "duck' dunns playing on the Blues Brothers CD's is great as is Jerry Jemmonts work with BB King. If you goggle those three and find their Blues older R & B stuff you can't go wrong.

For jazz, probably the two best to start with I would say are Miles Davis' Relaxin, Cookin and Walkin CDs with Paul Chambers or Oscar Petersons Night Train with Ray Brown. They're a great start as you will find a few blues forms on there as well..

Also a lot of the Charlie Parker stuff is Blues or Rhythm Changes based, get a hold of any of his recordings and you will hear some great blues lines.
