I've never heard a connection as beautiful as this. It's inspiring. First time I saw it, I was nearly brought to tears. It's simply incredible. I think there are few, if any, tighter bands out there.

Dude, awesome. Is Vic using a Slow Gear? I like how the guy could go completely nuts on a bass, but still knows what groove is. Very nice indeed.

That concert DVD is very good.
You can buy it and see tons of rocking faggotti solos.

I agree the band as a whole can extract a whole 'lotta emotion. Very inspiring when cats from totally different backgrounds and styles can come together and create some of the most beautiful music ever created. What a legacy these guys will leave behind! This stuff should be required listening/study at Berkley!

Big Country is very inspiring indeed! That whole DVD rocks, but that song in particular stands out.

If you can catch the Ben Folds Five live DVD, that version of Last Polka is another one of those moments where everything locks in and you just have to say, "Dang, that's awesome!" When they were in their prime, the guys in BFF were really tight.

I've seen this before but it's nice to see it again. It's especially cool to see Vic perform in such a tasteful manner: I like this side of him much better than the slappidy flappidy stuff he does (IMO).

Me too.

Ill add another clip that I dig. Not Bela Fleck with the Flecktones, but does have Bela Fleck and Vic in it.

Wow, thanks for the link, I really enjoyed that. I don't usually listen to that kind of music, but it's still worth checking out once in a while. Beautiful solo by Vic in there too, that was the first solo of his that I actually enjoyed listening to!
