I haven't heard Puppets (let alone Metallica) for a few weeks. It is usually in my rotation. I forgot how freakin fast that is. Crazyness. Gotta get workin on it.

"Masked Jackal" by Coroner. The intro and main riff. The first has some good chordal work and arpeggios, and the second is FAST scale run chugging. Go to www.designvortex.com/coroner for the bass tab.

I also recommend using Maiden songs for finger warmups. For fun, I like to tap the bass interlude of "Phantom of the Opera."

All I can think of now.

Especially playing it with your fingers, first time I played through it my hand was just dead. I'm used to playing slower rock stuff and this just blew me away because listening to it, it does not seem that hard but playing it is another story.
