Warwick Fretless Sample request...

Sign in to disble this ad
I've tried to find a Warwick fretless I could stand to play and have come up empty for the last decade plus. I LOVE the tone of them... so I'm at odds.

My favorite example is the first Edwin McCain disc with Scott Bannevich

What other recordings can I hear that signature Warwick fretless tone on?

Thanks!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Sunless Saturday by Fishbone has some wonderful 5-string Thumb fretless on it - super-warm and growly - and it's a great bass line too - my fave!

Bonin'...

Cool Deal Mike! That's the tone.... I wish Norwood was hotter in the mix.

Hey James - download the original off iTunes and you'll hear the bass a lot better - it's very high in the mix IMO - don't use You Tube as a judge of audio quality - or picture quality for that matter! But yeah, that's the tone....yum!

I'm proud to say I have the original gatefold vinyl - the cover is really cool. Loads of good bass on that album - it was a fave 'jam-along' LP of mine for a long time when I was in my early 20s - I nicked a lot of stuff off Norwood

Cool! Forgotten favorites.... I do have this CD and 3 other from Fishbone!!! I completely forgot they existed.

So, any more definitive Warwick Fretless songs?
