We finally put out our album, "Karmageddon"

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I just want you all to know that my band, Slackdaddy have finally released our CD Karmageddon. Here is the thing, we are giving it away for free on our website http://www.slackdaddy.com

We began recording it in 2002 we worked on it for 2 years off and on with Chris Bishop or Radium Recording in Athens, GA (I believe it is now in Commerce G). Then we sat on it while our singer went to grad school and I toured with Kevn Kinney and Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion. So here we are 4 years later. It was time to put it out. We are happy with it and want to share it so please visit slackdaddy.com and download it. I would love to hear what you think of it.

Thanks again and please download KARMAGEDDON

FLAC Files

FLAC stands for Fully Lossless Audio Compression at the top of the page where you see the word "FLAC" will let you download the decoding software. These are BIG files and I only recommend downloading them if you really like the music and want to burn a CD with songs in a much better form than MP3

YOu should be able to download the MP3 files no problem

OR you can just "stream it" from the link at the bottom

Type of Music?

It is "Indie Rock" I guess. For years people looked at the name and assumed "Jam Band" which is not the case. We all listen to different types of music.

I have been playing with the guitarist/singer since I was 12 and I will be 33 in about 2 weeks. I really feel that we have developed our own sound over the past 20 years.

Cool thanks, I'll try downloading the mp3's. I'll let you know when I've had a listen, thanks.

I get stop/start problems when I stream from my laptop.

I can't give a great review, because this isn't really my genre of music. But I will say this (which by me, all things considered is a great review)... it sounds like "The Pixies" but MUCH Better.

Actually... the more I listen to this... the more I like it!! I am by no means an indie fan, but this is some trippy indie! Awesome vibe, you've converted me. It's cool, this is indie in the old school sense, not the modern "punk indie."

Thanks

Matt,
Thanks for the kind words. I always thought our biggest asset was not really sounding like anyone else but I will graciously accept a Pixies comparison. I love Kim Deal.

It's great man. It rocks but it's mellow at the same time to a similar degree. I could imagine myself driving on a warm summer day to this with the windows down enjoying the sunshine.
