We just recorded a new song and its southern rockish in a way. We are from NC.
Its called Miss Mississippi. Let me know what you think.

The singer is a huge Clutch fan. He wrote it. I don't listen to them much so I dunno.
How was the bass tone?

Lead vocal is way too loud and too dry.

Singer needs guts. Sounds like he's pretending to sing, or trying not to sing too loudly... vocals are too loud in the mix.
Can't really hear the bass much. Even the drums are too low.
But, yeah. Hell yeah. Keep rockin'.

I would say the drums are off, and vox need to be cut down alot in volume and the singer needs to get more soul into it but pretty good

Yeah the room we have to record in kinda forces him to hold back some. This is a home recording using cakewalk on the guitarist computer.
The room doesn't have the greatest acoustics, and it seems the vocals are the hardest thing to record. Thanks for the input guys.
It always helps.
Yeah the drums were done by the singer on a keyboard. We don't have a drummer as of now.
