Big mistake, guys (to pass this one up)!
If you like Jaco, this DVD is worth every penny!
It is THE quintessential Jaco video that represents his finest playing ever (imho).
Get it and make up your own mind whether it is any good, it plays fine on my DVD player.

do you like this one more than the 76 montreux show? imo, in 78 he was more about the show than the music. i absolutely LOVE the 76 show and watch it pretty often. cant say the same for the 78 show.

We've had this same exchange before on the FDP forum (I go by gblick over there).
To answer your question, yes I do like this one more than the '76 at Montreax. It may partly be due to the fact that my copy of '76 Montreax is so crappy it's practically unwatchable, but I still think I'd take the '78 Rockpalast show over the '76 Montreax show.
I know you've said you think Jaco overplays on the '78 show, but I don't share that opinion.
