Well-known examples of collaborative recording over the Internet?

I'm working up an article on musical collaboration, and I figured that at least somebody on here might be able to help me find examples in which (not-too-obscure) bands recorded a song or album over the Internet--the members tracking from different places. (Not necessarily all at the same time, just in different places.)

I've already thought of the Postal Service and Brian Eno and David Byrne's "Everything That Will Happen Will Happen Today," but those aren't quite what I'm looking for.

Any thoughts?

"Extraction" was recorded that way (each member putting his parts on separately). It features Greg Howe, Victor Wooten, and Dennis Chambers.
