My first thought was 'KISS ALIVE' becuase at age 11 -it was the closing thing I had experienced to going to an actual concert.

I only listen to albums from first song to last. Of course I feel free to skip a song or two occasionally, but if there are that many songs on an album that I don't want to listen to, it obviously isn't worth having in my collection to begin with.

So my answer is: I listen to all my albums from first song to last.

I tend to think of most Zappa albums that way, but "Joe's Garage" comes immediately to mind.

Almost every album from Ayreon.

(progressive rock with many new age influences, many different singers from various rock and metal bands)

I just love it.

Kingston Wall: III - Tri-Logy

Seriously. There's even no gap between the first 10 tracks but instead the complete songs (6 or so) within those 10 tracks are all glued together with FAN-TASTIC outro/intro tracks. And the remaining three are just as amazing pieces of psychedelic hard rock as the first 10 tracks. The trivially titled first two albums I and II are also equally awesome.

Mini trivia: Kingston Wall was a very Hendrix-influenced psychedelic hard rock trio from Finland, being active from 1987 to 1994. Their singer/songwriter/guitarist Petri Walli committed a suicide for unknown reasons in 1995. The drummer Sami Kuoppamäki and bassist Jukka Jylli are both considered as one of the best in Finland and Petri was an exceptional guitarist who could truly express feelings with his guitar playing.

Here's a live video from 1992 (it cuts in the middle of a song, sorry - not my video though so don't blame me):
Part 1 ("Shine on Me" + beginning of "I'm Not the One": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCZWb0-SPhk
Part 2 (rest of "I'm Not the One" + Hendrix's "Fire"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWVNn3R75K0

Oh, did I just over-advertise an Finnish band again? Sorry
