This is the tone in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDtONZHSgFY
I know that he's playing a Musicman 5H, but I'm not looking to spend around a grand for a new bass. What I'm wondering is, can a TBC or a Lakland 55 01 or 02 get a pretty good feel for this tone, or am I going to have to spend the real cash for the real thing?
Thanks!
Brendan

I liked the 34" scale of the TBC and the neck profile is awesome! The Lakland's are 35" so if that matters to you, it's something to consider. You could also try a Ray34 or 35. Good luck! http://divshare.com/download/8795712-54c http://divshare.com/download/8795713-31b

Thanks!

For reference (NSFW language... gotta love old Chili Peppers!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYPCX...eature=related
