What do you think about the new Avenged Sevenfold?

I personally love it. It has a few gems (Nightmare, Danger Line, Save Me) and Portnoy does a great job covering for The Reverend.

I still like City Of Evil better, but I consider Nightmare a solid album.

What grade /5 would you give it?

The production is great! Portnoy is a animal. Having him take The Revs seat is very appropriate because they have very similar styles.

I want to love this album but so far I have to say it's just ok. Though I'm liking it more each time I hear it. They are a talented complex bunch. Their songs need to be sipped slowly.

My favorite album was their self titled album. A Little Piece of Heaven was a brilliant song.

I'll listen to it today somemore and see what I think.

I'm liking it more...it definitely deserves better than the 2/5 I gave it originally.

.5/5

I'd elborate but you obviously love the band so I'll just say I do not like them or their nu-metalish contemporaries.

Personally, When I got it first, I would've give it a 2/5 ... but the more I listen to it, the more I started to love it and I have to say that it's now a nice 4/5 .

I was a bit disapointed that 5 / 11 songs were ballads but most of them are still good.

The self titled and Diamonds in the rough/Live at LBC are still way in advance but there are good songs. Obviously nightmare, but I like the style they experienced with Natural Born Killer and God Hates Us. And it's great to hear The Rev (RIP) singing in Fiction.

For the ones who don'T know it, there's a song called Lost it All(Bonus track), available when you buy the CD on Itunes, but you can find it pretty much everywhere on the internet. It's worth checking it.

I'm actually planning on getting a big Death Bat Tatooed on my back

A7X!!!
