What gear is Ronnie Lane using in this gig?

Sorry if this thread belongs somewhere else. I put it here because it comes from a "recording." It is, ultimately, a gear question, though.

Anyway, what bass and amp set up is Ronnie using here with the Faces? Sounds fantastic to me!

I saw this concert on VH1 classic recently... awesome! Zemaitis is the make of Ronnie's bass! I believe he is also using an Ampeg B-15 flip top amp as well ( you can see it at 3:34)

[Edit] By the way- Tony Zemaitis passed away about 7 years ago... a couple of years after he quit building guitars. He was primarily a guitar builder but did produce basses as well. I cant think of anyone besides Ronnie Lane who played a Z bass... all kinds of guitarists come to mind, tho

You're dead on about the bass. I had never heard of Zemaitis guitars until just now. But, yezzir, that's his bass. Thanks

Ampeg? The background is so dark in that video, I couldn't see any amps, but I'll look at 3:34. Can't even see Ronnie Wood in most of the video.

Wow...I didn't realize Zemaitis made basses. If they're anything like the guitars,I betcha they are very expensive.
About a year ago,I seen a Zemaitis LP-style guitar going for about 15k.

I have this on DVD, killer show. I LOVE Ronnie Lane's tone on this and had no idea of the bass, thanks for asking the question.

The guy from The Answer plays one with the PJ pickups. Saw them at Download a couple of months back and it sounded better than his Precision.

The first Rock Gig I ever went to - The Groundhogs @ Guildford Civic Hall in 1974 - the Bass Player had a Zemaitis, I believe Greg Lake played one with ELP but I've never seen one since.

Pete Cruickshank... great player and super nice guy. Saw the Tony McPhee and the Groundhogs many times in Ireland and England. Sadly they never had a big following in the States... they only played one gig here (Pocono Mountain Rock Festival in '72) where Tony broke his leg and returned the next day to the UK).

Yup no doubt the basses will be even more expensive as they are much rarer!!

What is the title of the DVD? I searched on Amazon and couldn't find anything. Is it still available?

It looked like an ampeg B15 to me...sounds like it was pushed a little past its comfort zone, but a nice sound nonetheless.

Bob Daisley owns that Zemaitis now. He also has another of his own. It was the album Hogwash that turned me on to Zemaitis basses. I swore I'd get one someday. The prices have dived in the past year. They had been hitting the high $20K range, and I actually passed on buying one earlier this year for $17K. The guy that sold it took a $10K loss on what he paid for it a year earlier.
