What bass/effects did flea for the song around the world by red hot chili peppers?

I'm thinking of gettign a roscoe beck V and was wondering if I could his sound with it (since he does use a jbass quite a bit).

Probably the bass version, I've tried using guitardistortion on a bass, and it tends to sound like crap.

i'm pretty sure he used a modulus flea-bass for the recording of that entire album. not sure if it was with the lane poor pickup.

He's using his modulus in the video for it, and yeah, he uses a boss ODB-3 bass overdrive.
