Hell, from Undertow to Aenima was four years. |

(For all you young un's, that's Guns N' Roses, and we the faithful have been waiting for 14 years and counting...)
No, I'm not kidding.
Also waiting on Cynic, but they just officially announced that they're really getting ready to record.
And what about Virgos Merlot/Virgos/Dark New Day? Every time I get my hopes up for a new album, the band implodes and Brett starts anew. Dark New Day's new album is due out this spring, I think, so I've got my fingers crossed for that one.

Radiohead was almost 5 between Hail To The Thief and In Rainbows. Weezer was a little over 5 years between Pinkerton and The Green Album. That's a pretty general sense of a long time between albums in my favorite bands that are still going.

I bought 10,000 Days and listened to it for a day and found it sitting downstairs still with the receipt in the bag.
I don't call that an album, I call it contractual obligation. It's like 3 songs and ambience. Not high on list for good Tool albums. Still waiting for the album after Lateralus to come out........

It's probably because after Lateralus, everyone wanted another album like that.
