me thinks that most people will say Dont Go Away Mad (Just go Away) but i think all of Nikki's lines are great. they may be simple, but he plays for the song, not himself. Very solid player .... Ive been playin stuff lately from the Seneration Swine, Theater Of Pain and To Fast For Love cd's lately myself...

Fun fun stuff there....

i totally agree, Don't go away is one of my favs, but i follow the other opinions...as well. Nikki was a solid pocket player that did what the song needed instead of changing the focus to himself.

Don't Go Away Mad is the quintessential Crue bassline. However my personal favorites are Ten Seconds To Love (one of my favorite Bass & Drum grooves), and Rock N Roll Junkie. Rock N Roll Junkie is one of their more obscure songs, but his bassline is up front and center unlike most of his playing in Crue songs.

Also he really shines in his songwriting and playing on Sixx AM however that isn't really motley crue :P

Ohh, there's so many... Sick Love Song, Don't Go Away Mad, Wild Side, Kickstart My Heart, Primal Scream, Saints Of Los Angeles or Red Hot, those are at least my favorites anyways.

I can understand so many people saying Dr. Feelgood, it's one of their most popular and well known songs, but to me it's so... (what the word I'm looking for...), well I find it boring. It's a great song, but I find the bass so boring, I dread coming to it on my Crüe playlist, couldn't remove it though, that'd be crazy, and I might forget how to play it... haha.

i like most of them...nikki sixx wrote most of the motley catalog, too, btw, so he's always been a little more than just a solid bass player in my mind

The bass on Sixx AM seems a lot better then the Crue stuff. Is Nikki free to play more or is it a ghost

I liked what he did with 58 and the Brides of Destruction as well. Solid Player, great writer.

Sixx A.M. he's free to do more instead of the mold of the Crue. Their self titled album right after Dr Feelgood has some good stuff on it. That's the one with John Corabi singing.

The very best bass part and best bass sound ever recorded for a Motley Crue song was, by a country mile, "You're All I Need". I don't know WHAT the hell that boy was using (or, honestly, who even recorded that part), but it's so much better than any other bass sound on any other Motley song that it's easy to forget who you're listening to.
