Sign in to disble this ad
I just wondered if anyone could tell me some albums/songs that are essential for any bassist and that would help with my playing, I already have BSSM and some RATM albums, and I'm thinking more along the lines of Jaco stuff and Victor Wooten or any other legendary bassists
Thanks, Rob

Check the early Jamiroquai stuff, some really nice and tasty bass playing on there, especially Emergency on planet earth.
other than that, just listen to whatever you like and try to learn those basslines. |

Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
Queen - A Night At The Opera
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
I don't care if you're more into technically advanced stuff, or metal, or punk or dancing ballet with a pink tutu on.. These albums have some incredible bassing by some incredible bassists. |

Except for the Tool album, all the rest are death metal oriented with fantastic bass playing. |
