I've been listening to the Beatles for such a long time so I've developed a greater appreciation for some of their more obscure songs (if you can call a Beatle song obscure).

My favorites:

If I Fell
Wait
I Don't Want to Spoil the Party
Two of Us
Across the Universe
No Reply
You Won't See Me
Another Girl
I've Just Seen A Face
You Can't do That
Drive My Car
World Without Love (McCartney song recorded by Peter & Gordon)

None of them obvious hits, but still great songs...

Can't believe no one has mentioned Revolution (or did I miss it?).

That and "Come Together" do it for me.

Man, hard to choose, to be honest. I'm a HUGE Beatles fanatic so, if I had to pick some for now, I'd go with:

- Eleanor Rigby (the orchestration was so far ahead of its time in rock)
- Penny Lane (ditto above)
- Blackbird (It just has such an incredible feel and vibe)
- Rain (one of the songs whose allure I honestly can't describe)
- The End (for the simple reason that one of my favorite lyrics in rock history is "And in the end - the love you take is equal to the love you make". While that may seem like such a simple concept, it is actually quite profound and far-reaching in its magnitude, IMHO).
- Here Comes the Sun (The acoustic guitar and bass lines just blow me away. The vocals and harmonies give me goosebumps.)

...and it hardly ends there. I absolutely love that band.

I could listen to the bass line from "Something" over and over but I still get "We Can Work It Out" stuck in my head for sometimes no reason at all..

Any of you heard the Love album. There is some pretty cool medleys and new renditions.

I like the psychadelic "It's All Too Much" off the Yellow Submarine soundtrack. It sooo awesome. Definitely an obscure song.

"A Day In The Life" has always been my fav though.

"Please, Please Me" ALWAYS takes me back to being a 1st Grader when I lived in south Philly in 1965. I even had a pair of Beatles' boots back then...that changed when we moved back to SE Virginia the following year. Guess it's a good thing I outgrew them. ;-)

Once the Beatles were issued on cds, the more 'out' stuff did it for me-
"Tomorrow Never Knows"
"A Day In The Life"
"Strawberry Fields Forever"
"Within You Within Me"
"I Am The Walrus"
etc

...and the entire Revolver album, actually-
"I'm Not Sleeping", "She Said She Said", etc.

And "I'm Not Guilty" from the 3rd Anthology set.

Even though I'm a purist, I really like the Love CD.
