I think one of the first tunes I remember hearing that really made me perk up was "Wrathchild"
Another big one was "NIB"
I still get excited playing those bass lines-even just noodling around in my living room...

It was Chaz Chandlers bass intro to "We Gotta Get Outta This Place" by the Animals.

My dad turned up the bass on the stereo one day to show me what Paul McCartney did on the Rubber Soul LP, and nothing has been the same since.

The first songs I learned on bass were:
1 - Pipeline - The Ventures
2 - Gloria - Shadows of Knight version
3 - (Turn on your) Love Light - ???

What hooked me on bass-for-life was "The Best of The Animals" - learned EVERY song 'note-for-note' - Chaz Chandler rocked!!!

I can't think of specific tracks, but Parliament got me into the bass, and Jaco got me playing.
