What are you Windows users using?

instead of Garage band? My band has a process of recording individual tracks remotely, using Garage band. For my parts I have to go over to the guitarist to use his Apple as I am invested in the Windows platform. What would be a decent software/interface to get to enable me o record at home and be compatible with the Apple guys?

thanks!

I have both Reaper and Pro Tools (LE), both work on Windows and Mac OS.

I don't have Garageband so I don't know how it would work out in terms of workflow, but if you're all using different software they're going to end up importing individual audio tracks so it doesn't really matter what you use.

But yeah, it might be a good idea to get everybody on Reaper since it's cheap to license and not platform-specific.

There is also the Linux switch, if you are in the PC world, well that and Hackintosh. I use Linux/BSD, for multitrack recording I lean towards Ardour.

I'm most familiar with Cubase LE (free version that came with my Zoom H4n), but I've tried Reaper as well.
