My band finished recording an album, and instead of spending a lot of money pressing it now, we decided to make numbered/limited CD-R versions with glossy covers printed through Kinko's and disc labels printed from our printers. We are also going to use a service to release it online as mp3's.
So, I'm just wondering how you sold your first band's recordings. I'm most interested in people doing this in the last 2-3 years, as that relates to the position I'm in, but it's always fun to hear stories from the "wiser."
