What is your favorite DEATH album?

I haven't been into heavy/death metal for a while now, and the other day I started listening to my Death (the band) CD's again. Chuck Schuldiner was a friggin' genius. All the other death metal seems like a cheap knockoff to me.

For me, the most remarkable part is the leap from Spiritual Healing to Human. That is where death metal got really serious to me!

So what is your favorite DEATH album?

I've even included Control Denied to make it comprehensive.

Discuss.

I love The Sound of Perseverance. It was the first Death album I ever listen too, and one of my favourite bass albums.

It's a real close call for me, but I'm going to go with Human, but Individual Thought Patterns is a really close second.

Maybe Symbolic, Individual thought Patterns or SOP. Tough to choose.

Human is damn good too.

I've only listened to Sound of Perseverance consistently, so I voted for that. I didn't know Death had made so many albums though, I'll have to check some more of their stuff out.

For me it's a three way tie between Human, Symbolic, and Sound of Perseverance. Individual Thought Patterns is a close second.

For the record, I voted for Symbolic. Crystal Mountain is maybe one of the baddest tunes I have ever heard!!!

Human, the first I bought and my favourite but Individual Thought Patterns is DiGorgio's best work with Death.
