Mine was "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. We were pretty good at it. The bassline is pretty easy, pretty much all D...
Honorable mentions:
You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Losing My Religion - REM
Black or White - Michael Jackson

I actually played a cover tune with the original singer once. I played in a band that backed Al Wilson for a gig. We did his big hit from 1974 titled "Show and Tell" that sold over 3 million copies and was number one on the Billboard charts. Great bass line that I played note for note as recorded. |

It got a huge reaction. Way bigger than any of our originals, which ticked me off. I guess you gotta give the people what they want..

Also covered Bad day by daniel powter for some reason :S turned it into a william shatner style song with a walking bass line, and slow spoken lyrics. They LOVED that one it was the funniest thing I think I've played live |

Once we get a video of it I will post it . Then you will see what I mean.
Second is "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benetar. Talk about power of ROCK!!!!!!! This song is so heavy when we play it. I'll post this one too when I get the video. |
