Time may tell if its a classic, but I can see myself listening for the bass lines time and time again.

I'm going to limit my answer(s) to albums that aren't fronted by bass players; that is, I'm going to exclude anything by Victor Wooten, Michael Manring, etc. Those are great albums, but they are by and primarily for bass players.
One that comes to mind is "Other Voices" by Paul Young, which features Pino Palladino on bass. The track "Stop on By", featuring Chaka Khan on vocals, is a particular standout, but there is great bass work throughout.

Deadwing by Porcupine Tree. Some cool stuff on that.

So I'm going to pick one out of left field. I like Andy Roarke's bass playing in The Smiths' album The Queen Is Dead.
