+1, that was cool as hell. I liked his little spaz-out at the end of "Leave That Thing Alone" especially, and the way they jazzed up "Working Man" kicked ass.

Basically any album by The Stranglers, but in particular the first three albums: Rattus Norwegicus, No More Heroes, Black & White has some pretty amazing basslines on them.

A rare one-Burnin' at the Stake by The Domenic Troiano Band with Neil Jason on bass (1975). I can't find a recording online, but most of my pre-Vic slap licks came from that record.
