Mine's Trick of the Light. There's something magical about the sound of an 8-string bass...

Every time I hear that song I am just amazed by Entwistle's playing! I have to throw My Generation in there too just because it was the first bass solo on a mainstream rock recording! |

Don't flame me guys, this is my favorite Who song,by far.I like this remake (I think) better than the original version.I forget the bass players name (Johnny ??????).Anyone know his last name??Also,in the video,he's holding a pick.Wonder if he cut this song in the studio with a pick??Did he always play with a pick??
Oh,I forgot,I also love the song "You Better,You Bet".I love the intro!!!

Off the top of my head, that performance of A Quick One While He's Away for the Rolling Stones R&R Circus is pretty amazing. And I always stop in my tracks when I hear The Song is Over or Eminence Front. Pete rules |

Then again, My Generation is the most important track from a historical perspective in alot of ways too.

I think that John entwhistle is one of the most authoritative bassists--there is a lot of power behind what he plays, even if they are just whole notes |
