Who performs this song?

Sign in to disble this ad

I hear it on the radio a lot but I never hear who performs it.
It's an alternative rock- hard rock song with fairly distorted guitar and the chorus, sung by a gravel-type male voice goes like this:

"in a world of human wreckage, in a world of...."

and

"say your prayers for me, say your prayers, say your prayers for me...."

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Saw them in concert. A bit before their show, I saw the singer walking down the sidewalk. I didn't know it at the time until I saw him on stage later. I thought as I passed him, "He looks kind of loud for this town..." And boy, he was! That was a good show. One of my favorite songs.

If you want to hear a brutal version (I promise it's an interesting take & worth the minute or so) download "Evergreen Terrace Plowed", a cover obviously, done even better than the original.

That's funny - Evergreen Terrace is the street The Simpsons live on.
