Who is picking up Thrice's new album "Beggars"?

I'm pretty pumped for it. If you didn't know already, it comes out tomorrow (8/11/09). I've listened to a few tracks from it on their myspace, and it sounds fantastic. Eddie Breckenridge writes some of the coolest bass lines in rock music today, and he always gets awesome tone, too.

I'm extremely excited for it, but I'm holding out for the vinyl release.

I'm trying to be a good boy and not listen to it until then. I'd stream it from myspace, but always find the quality to be subpar.

A big +1 on Eddie, though. Firebreather has a killer line that just drive the whole song, and there are a number of others.

I picked it up on Release day and I'm one of the guys who listened to it when it was leaked. I was so impressed that I bought the Itunes release and to make up for it, I'm going to buy the physical copy in September too. I've been a Thrice fan since Artist in the Ambulance, but it's amazing to see the growth and maturity they've displayed as time has gone on without alienating their original hardcore fanbase. They are one of the remaining alternative rock bands that continue to impress me consistently. But Beggars is a masterpiece in its own right, just like Alchemy and Vhiessu were as well.

+1. I used to think "meh, whatever" of them, but then I heard Stare at the Sun. That bass solo/lick in the verses still gets me doing this (and believe me, I'm not one for exercise.) They remind me of Tool in the sense that they're an alternative rock that pays significant attention to the bassist without deviating from their original goals of making good music.
