Who played bass on Stand By Me by Ben E. King?

I think this song has a great bassline,but I've tried to find out who plays bass on this song but I havn't had any luck. So I guess I'll ask yall.

It was first released in 1961. Find out which label it was put out on and that might give you a clue. Could have been whatever rhythm section The Drifters were using at that time.

Stand by Me was released on the Atlantic label, and if I remember correctly, it was the same bass player that recorded with the Drifters.
