Great record with great bass tones and grooves. How come I don't know who played bass on it? And can't find any threads about it. Odd, this is.

Is it because I don't know how to spell Lauryn Hill?

No, that doesn't seem to be the case.

That's "To Zion", which features an appearance by Carlos Santana. She performed on his "Supernatural" album on a song called "Final Hour" in exchange.

According to the internets, the following have bass credit on TMoLH:
Tom Barney
Paul Fakhourie
Christopher Meredith
James Poyser (moog bass and synth bass)
Darth Zender
Matthew Rubano

woye... matt rubano.

great bass player, but not too cool of a guy. i met him when he played for a modern jazz fusion band called Schleigho (check 'em out! killer!) and he had that "i'm better than you" vibe going on.

bleh, and now he's playing with that emo-crap group "taking back sunday" i could never understand how/why he would make a switch like that. oh yeah - MONEY!

btw - Schleigho's new bass player is WAY more sick - Paco Mahone.
