Sitting here this morning, drinking coffee, playing in Cubase. I know a lot of you have means to record, so I present the offer that we make a song together. I'm pretty much down for anything. I think it would be killer to make a tune with one of you guys, so if you're up for it, let me know. I can program drums and mix it and add guitar if necessary, but ide like to keep it as bass oriented as we can. If you are interested, let me know. |

Most of what's on my page below is all me. The new video is all me. I use cubase also. You can send an mp3 of whatever you've got to nervemail@aol.com . |

Seriously cool stuff man. Anyways, lets decide on exactly what kind of style we want to do. If you want to like, record one part and send it to me, then ill add to it and send it back and so on so forth. I'm up for doing something out of my element, so I dont want to send you something that might bore you if you're into faster paced stuff. |

hey, do you sing? if so, I've got some stuff sans vox, lyrics, melodies. i'd have to hunt a bit for it though. |

totally jealous about Ron by the way. That is seriously so cool. Anyways, ill send you a rough sketch of some random parts. You seem to like odd styles, so i just did a few random things. If you want to take it in any other direction, let me know. |

Lots of the logistics need to be addressed thoroughly -- i.e., how are audio files being exchanged? FTP, FedEx... email *never* works for large attachments! -- but it can be very rewarding. |

My idea was like, you send me some stuff in whatever key, and let me know the tempo. I import it into my program, record some stuff, send it back to you. back and forth. one of us can do final arranging and what not. |

But other than that, yeah, the method you describe is pretty much exactly what I've done with other musicians around the country. |

I've been sending files to a sax player I'm working with this way and it works great - they get a link and simply download from that not from an email account... just an idea
Good luck

Anyways, ide be down to do it if you're down. Since you have some experience doing so, ide be more than excited to see exactly what format you do this in, and how it will turn out. If youre down shoot me a pm and we can send parts back and forth and make something. |

It's about a band I played with for ~10 years. We actually haven't worked together in years, so it's really still up just as a vanity site...but it's a nice way to point people to a wide variety of critical acclaim for a project I was deeply vested in. Last I looked there weren't any audio clips, & I think most of the CDs (except for the ones on the Music & Arts label) are out of print. |

Just wanted to let you know I've been fiddlin a bit with what you gave me, having a rough time though working it all into something worthwhile. I also got slammed with a bunch of demos someone wants me to lay bass on, so I'm going to have to fall by the wayside here. I hate saying I'm going to do something and then not do it, but I'd rather say it than just not do it. Did that make sense? Bass- ikly, I have to back out due also to too much on my plate. Your grooves are solid though, and I'd like to keep the door open to possibly do something in the future. I'd like to hear whatever you come up with w others too. |
