Question Wild Side (What song is this?)

Sign in to disble this ad
(I am not sure if this is the right place because this thread is not really bass related, but it's about a recording.)

I heard this song on the radio and really liked it. It's just that I am not oldie-proof and got no idea by whom it is or what it is called.
I am sure it's gotta be famous. Everybody I ask goes like: "Of course I know that song, yeah, it's famous. It's by..... it's really famous!"

That means it's your turn to help me out.
The song goes somewhat like "And I said 'hey girl,
let's take a walk on the wild side'.
And the cover girls went:
'dub dedub dedub dededub...."

I just heard it once.

Thanks

It's Lou Reed -- "Take A Walk On The Wild Side".

There's actually two bass lines going on at the same time. It's from the "Transformer" album.

I felt a chill go up my spine when you missed that one. Lou Reeds Transformer and Berlin both have tons of great playing.

Don't worry about it -

Crue's version was much more catchy than Lou Reed's .

Thanks.

I really like that song and its laid back groovy feel. Can you recommend me any albums (by Lou Reed or not) that have that kind of music on it?

But while he was with the Velvet Underground, I think Sweet Jane was cut from the same cloth.
