Just yes. I'd heard of this, and totally forgot to look it up. Absolute ear candy. Thank you!

Kinda similar to Hiram Bullock Live at Mannys Car Wash. Don't expect stellar songwriting, but lots of fun none the less.

And that ladies and gentleman is how a fusion guitar player can destroy a massive funk groove.

Will and Dennis had the first 3 minutes of that track sweatin' grease. Dean just couldn't let it breath. The rest of it was great.

IMHO YMMV

+1 Still cool though. Dean is just disturbing to watch also... like Iggy Pop with a guitar or something. I really dislike his playing, tone, and entire approach to playing (with Marcus, this, etc.). He is the definition of the 'bad part' of the Berklee approach IMO.

Will sounds great... love that 'Sadowsky sizzle' up top! Nice!

LOL! I haven't even checked out the video yet and I'm already dreading it...and knowing exactly what to expect from the guitarist!

I kind of like it. Dean is rather awkward looking when he plays, but I like that this does seem to be a fusion of funk and something wholly different. If it were just someone playing traditional funk guitar, I would have bobbed my head for a second and then forgotten about it. I am curious now to see what the other stuff is like.

I don't have a Dean Brown fan club membership card or anything, but I think it's worth keeping in mind that this was his gig. Without Dean, we don't get Will Lee and Dennis Chambers in this setting. I'll happily put up with some interesting guitar action for that.

Speaking of Dennis Chambers, this kinda' fits into that whole guitar power trio vibe...in which he's the common thread for so many acts. Mike Stern + Lincoln Goines, Steve Khan + Anthony Jackson, Bireli Lagrene + Dominic Di Piazza, yada yada... Not something you want to feast on every day, but as a nice treat....just yum.

I know I've got bad tastes in music... but I dig Dean's playing. I do have to agree he is hard to watch, but I like to listen

I dig Dean Brown, and will pick that one up if it gets a domestic release, but these days my favorite guitar trio with Will Lee are the Oz Noy albums.

I picked up the album on iTunes last night. It's got a lot of cool stuff on it IMO, including some classic Will Lee "groove" solos.

Anything that has enough sonic space where I can hear Will clearly is worth owning to me.
