Anyone know who played bass on Wilson Pickett's "Get Me Back On Time (Engine #9) Sounds like Duck and a Portaflex but I'm sure I'm wrong.

It's a Gamble & Huff song recorded in Philly with the great Ronnie Baker on bass.

Wilson is a BADASS!!!! Great songs early on. Unbelievable vocals too.

Fabulous line! I remember that song, but haven^'t heard it in dog's years.

I love the way flats on a P can go to tape- fat, full, with some grunt and that bursting out at the seams OD.

I took off my headphones and the bass was loud and clear from a quite far away- shows how they mixed for less than huge speakers, really cool.
