Wooten on "Big Country"

Has anyone else noticed that towards the end of "Big Country" by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Victor plays the melody to "Continuum" by Jaco?

Just thought I'd point that out, I thought it was cool.

Has anyone heard something like this happen anywhere else?

Marvellous! I was lieing in bed this morning before I got up for school listening to Jaco's original recording of Continuum...it struck me just how good a tune it is!

An example of this would be in this video here...

if you listen closely, you'll hear Shawn using a lick from the intro of Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover". Also, the tune they play in the last minute is a real banger.

EDIT: Listen at about 2:15 to hear how he gets to the lick.

Yup I have noticed that. For some reason I think I've heard him do that with another song. Not Continuum but another Jaco tune I can't think though. I'm probably wrong anyway.

The CD sleeve states that Big country is a tribute to Jaco.
