Does anyone here know how victor sets his eq for his well defined finger style sound? Do you think i can get a tone somewhat close to this on a warwick streamer Lx and a peavey amp? (forget the model)

I'm pretty sure Vic sets his eq flat most of the time... and both pups full on.

He has a Fodera which is a big part, no doubt. He also uses the Fodera pre with EMG active PJs, more often than not. Active EMGs have a very clear and distinct sound to them, I should know; I've tried a lot of things to get them not to sound like EMGs.

I like Vic's sound for what it is, but it's not what I aspire to. However, EMGs will get you closer. Spectors with EMG PJs sound very close to his sound, I find. It seems to be in the preamp, though.
