My band and I just finished editing, mixing, and mastering our first single from our upcoming EP. This is the first time we've ever taken a crack at the process, so any feedback on the recording and/or song is much appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzDMK...feature=digest |

Great job! |

If the rest of the EP is of this quality (and style of music), then I will buy it

Thanks for the comments. Can't wait to post the rest of our songs in this thread as we finish them. There's a long road ahead as music isn't a full time gig for any of us. |

I'd also say to bump up the vox, but I'd also bump up the drums. Not necessarily the volume, but raise the threshold of the compressor. I can hear the cymbals pumping and getting a bit mushy. Not sure if you have the drums on their own bus or if it's the mastering compressor doing it. YouTube doesn't help If you listen to other music in your genre, the drums are sometimes the loudest thing in the mix (especially the kick drum).
Anyhow, that's a little outside perspective. Sounds awesome, keep it up!
