sound like you guys have alot of potential! yes, I can tell you like nirvanna. what should you change? I don't know, tighten up your timing, unless you like to sound like that!? bass playing sounds cool!

good luck

You have really killer tone, I can't tell who's throwing everyone elses timing off, but someones doing it. Major timing issues.

I don't know, I don't like the fact that it sounds like I'm listening to Nirvana demo tapes, it could use a touch of originality here and there.

the timing issues r non-existent in live situations. i realzie we sound a bit like nirvana (a bit? haha) but i try to make the bass more.. lively? haha.

anyway, the timing is a result of our recording of the drums. for some reason it just doesn't come out right. live, its not at all a problem. we're tight as anything. i wish we had all live recordings. maybe its time to get a pro recording job...

FWIW, our band had similar issues with trying record the other tracks over our 5 track drums. Our issues were with our recording PC being trying to work too hard. So in essence, either A) Record everyone together or B) Invest in a more powerful recording solution or C) Go write a fat check for some studio time.
The music isn't really my style, but to these ears it sounds good for what it is. I've heard ALOT worse bands running around nowadays and they even play the stuff I'm into. Just keep up the hardwork, it'll pay off.

What are you recording with? Is it just a 4 tracker, or on a computer?

Some advice to "go cheap," My band records the drums in a studio, then records everything else on the computer. It saves money if you're computer savvy and gets some pretty sweet results.

The guitar tone is beyond awful on Dope and Start Again. The bass work on Start again is peaky, you should redo that track so every note has the same volume (your runs disappear).

Your tone is pretty meaty, I doubt it would cut through thicker guitars all that well, but works fine for cutting through Strat style tones. Your playing is nice and reminiscent of Brian Ritchie.

Ultimately, I wouldn't buy this album or come to see you guys based on these songs. I didn't like Nirvana when they were around and band that borrows from them as heavily as you guys do isn't something that I'd spend my pesos on.

Good luck with the group.
