This may be rough, but it's about the best I can do right now. Let me know what you think, and lay it on thick, especially if the groove is cool, or should I dump it.

The groove is cool but the timing needs some work on. It's difficult to put a solo on because of the timing.
Thanx anyway!!! (H)

it would be an awesome groove if you added some shuffled-feel ghost notes in there to give it some groove

also, the drums would work better if there was a more pulsing hihat feel & more basic feeling kick/snare. think funk beat

Gotchya, Maybe I'll work on that one some more, but in the meantime, I think I nailed this groove as far as timing goes. A couple goof ups, but I'm happy with the way I stuck with it.

Ya, I enjoyed that. It was cool to hear that kind of groove come in on the synth stuff. Thanks for the link, and the input by the way. I need it.

This thread was actually started on the tecniques forum by Bosh up there looking for some bass players to collaborate with. I bounced it where it belongs. I'll try anything here. Obviously I'm not too proud, just working it the best I can.

So you didn't hijack the thread, but it may hijack you

I'm playing a Rogue acustic/electric, through a Kustom combo amp, into an 8 track digital recorder. All direct cables, no mics.
