Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising FOrce

I was really surprised by this release. It reminded me a lot of Symphony X, and although Yngwie is, after all, a guitar player with a bass, he has some nice licks. (and a BASS intro to a song, I almost died when I heard that.)

I've never heard the actual song. I've seen the powertabs (without the bass score) and I've seen him play the song on an instructional video, but I didn't know there was any kind of bass intro.

Got a clip?

"Yngwie Malmsteens Rising Force" is the name of the band. I have 2 CDs from them, "Odyssey" and "The War To End All Wars", pretty good stuff, a bit like 80's metal (especially the vocals)but better. They have a song called "Prophet of Doom", the chorus is so 80s and cheesy I cracked up when I heard it. And he does have some pretty good bass stuff, even if it is picked to death by a guitar player. Not bad at all.
