I was stunned... how could they call such a horrid thing a jam? It's not even jamming, flea's playing the same thing over and over and over again, and switches basslines every 8 or something bars.

What, exactly, is your definition of a "jam"?

Jam (also known as jelly or preserves) is a type of sweet spread or condiment made with fruits or sometimes vegetables, sugar, and sometimes pectin if the fruit's natural pectin content is insufficient to produce a thick product. Jam and its variations are often spread on bread, and used as a culinary sweetener, for example in yoghurt.

AG Player, do you try hard to be so goofy? Your posts are entertaining to say the least, but sometimes I think that you just have to be trolling.

You post a video of a jam, the first words on the video are "we're going to jam" and then they jam, and your point is - they are not jamming?

They are not jamming because A) Flea keeps playing the same thing over and over
and also B) Flea keeps changing what he's playing, not playing the same thing over and over.

That was a jam and a half. I don't really like the sound of his bass when he's not slapping, though...

Yeah, let's not get started on how that upright "player" wasn't even playing anything at all.....

It's nice to see Flea playing a Stingray, although I think the switch to Modulus was a perfect transition in tone for the band.
