So, I'm kind of a huge soundgarden fanboy, and I was wondering what everyone's favorite song/album was.
I'd have to go with the song Kickstand, because I discovered Soundgarden when listening to that song which was on the soundtrack of the game Road Rash (biker with chains and baseball bats racing and beating each other up while running over grannies to finish first - a classic), and my favorite album has to be Down on the Upside, because of the songs Pretty Noose and Burden In My Hand.
What are yours? Where are the Soundgarden fans? Speak up |

My favorite would be superunknown as a cd, but i enjoy their whole catalog. 4th of july is one of my guilty pleasures, but the whole cd is good. I think i first song of theirs i heard was outshined, and couldn't believe a grunge band could be so heavy! zero chance should be up there with fade to black imho. just so many good songs!

| | | | So much diversity already! Goes to show some bands can make all their albums differently but still be all great! |

| | | | Yet another difference in taste, this is really great! I didn't think so many people had so many different tastes when it came to Soundgarden! Great to hear! |

i am pretty happy with them both, i like all the songs, and my favorites are black hole sun, spoonman, fell on black days and the day i tried to live
i know that hardcore fans of any band find it uncool and poser to like a band's singles, i still really like spoonman and i really really like black hole sun |

I think "Mailman" is my favorite tune of theirs. |

"Never the Machine Forever" blows my mind. Live, I think they filled up more sonic space than anyone else I had ever seen. They sounded THICK! Cool thread, BTW.

4th of July rules that album... it's so strange/heavy/melodic. And who can front on lyrics like, "Down in the hole, Jesus tries to crack a smile underneath another shoveload." That's pretty intense.
Pretty much all Soundgarden is great... almost all RATM is great... why does Audioslave suck? (Imo)

And while I'm at it - I think Matt Cameron is easily one of the greatest drummers to come out of the scene/era. Quote: |
