beat me to it... Mike is a great bassist.

Boney James needs to do something about that hair, Rick needs a shirt on top of that wife-beater... and Kenny and Kirk are the coolest cats up there IMO!!!

...OH WAIT, isn't this supposed to be in [BG] Recordings or something?

Actually that is in correct, it's a tune called "always there" by Saxman Ronny Laws, brother of virtuoso jazz flutest Hubert Laws. Circa 1978 give or take

Great stuff - this is taken from a DVD called "Casino Lights" with other smooth jazz / fusion acts. Bass playing highlights includes James Genus DB playing w/ Bob James, and the guy who plays with George Duke on "Brazilian Love Affair" - terrific solo!

Oh, and sound quality is superb too.
