Are you still buying cassette tapes ? I do. Today I purchased an original 1984 copy of Metallica's Ride the Lightning on cassette.

Let us know if it hisses more than a pit viper after getting stepped on.

Nope, but I still have three cases full of 'em. Recently I listened to Who's Next on cassette and the remastered CD back-to-back. The CD sounds miles better, no contest. The cassette is labeled "improved sound quality".

Not for years. I switched to CDs only when tapes started to get very hard to find.

great!

I recently stumbled upon a GIANT roll of cassette labels. They probably cost a bundle, there was like a few hundred. I didn't have the heart to throw them out. Collecting dust in the basement next to my beer bong and my ADA MP-1 . . .

I still do keep a cassette deck wired into my studio, lots of vocalists still use cassette recorders to lay down song ideas . . .

It's been a long time since I bought a pre-recorded tape. Where do you even find them, other than truck stops?
I still buy blank tapes, when I can find good ones. Very difficult any more.

I don't buy or use them anymore. I hardly use CD's, because I have an iPod. It connects directly to my car stereo, so it's just easier.

Depends if it's something that's not on CD. Every once in awhile I'll go down to The Underground music store here in town and go thru their cassette section. I also will by empty cassettes to use as band practice reference when we learn new original material because sometimes we only get to practice once a month and everybody forgets how the song(s) go.

These days I get music by any means necessary, and once in a while I find a classic album on tape for a dollar or less at FyE, so yeah.

I can;t wait for this to be real! We're due for a change and MP3 is NOT the answer. I dream of the day where my whole music library is on my key chain and it sounds GREAT through my flying car's speakers as I zip through the galaxy

No, I'm done with that. Dug me a big darn hole in the back yard and dumped them there.

Oh sorry, I read that as "Are you still burying casette tapes?"
