For your amusement...

Plugged the bass into the computer this afternoon with no definite plans or ideas and this is what emerged. Good for a smirk and a shrug, perhaps... I wanted to jump on the bandwagon of overlaying snippets of spoken word recordings, so this represents my entry in that... genre, or whatever.

Kick ass. I dig it. Good to hear funk type stuff with actual chord changes.

Where'd you find the spoken word stuff?

Cool, more thanks! -- and thanks also for the sig, Mr. Strange. Yeah, chord changes -- gotta get me some more of those! The spoken word stuff is from Nixon's "Checkers" speech. I found an mp3 of it online...

... All it needs is a sitar...

Edit: It also needs Bill Clinton's "I did not have a sexual relationship with Ms. Lewinsky" talk .

Hillel Slovak tought Flea how to play bass just so he could play in a band. He is now the best rock bassist's in many peoples opinion, Even people who do not like the Chili peppers. Flea has been there for every single tour with nivarna, silverchair, smashing punkins and many more. For ever single and album. He has become a role model for millions of bass players. Flea take a bow.

Impressive

Great tune SD !
I really dig those harmonics. They give the melody a great atmosphere.

BTW, what strings are you using on your Cirrus now ?
