Agreed. I'd rather see Jaco laying down the groove than that wolf running in the snow, no offense to wolves

Wow, that was just sad to see. Michael Manring's version of "Purple Haze" destroys his.

The difference is, Jaco's sounds a lot more improvised.

I dig that instructional video too, even though it was shot awhile after he started to decline mentally. (i have that on VHS)

The Shadows and Light tour is amazing.

Unfortunately, that doesn't make it any better imo.

This is definately my favourite video with Jaco featuring, but I wouldn't say my favourite of Jaco. The performances all round are pretty amazing, but I do think his solo lacked flow.

For straight delay a MXR digital delay & a Electro-Harmonix 16 second delay for the loops.

I think it was a lot wilder, a lot closer to Hendrix than Manring's version. I like it this way, Purple Haze needs to be messy. It's a wild song.

Well, I agree that it does sound good with a certain fire to it. I found Jonas Hellborg's cover of "Little Wing" to be even more raw and powerful than Henrix's version!
