Your Favorite Micheal Jackson Songs?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

So my band and I got invited to play at this Michael Jackson tribute night on Halloween, so im wondering, what are your favorite Michael Jackson songs? we are trying to get 2 hours of music together, so your help will be greatly appreciated, as i have been out of the loop most of my life.

we have learned Thriller, Beat it, Billie Jean, and Smooth Criminal already. if someone could maybe suggest some of the deeper tracks (with fun basslines ) that would be great!

look forward to the responses!

thanks

Two words: Dirty Diana. Not a really technical bassline, just a badass song and cool guitar work.

Check out this bass line

"Lady of My Life" has an infectious bassline that I enjoyed playing back in the day as well as right now.

We have exactly the same taste. I'd add "Beat It" specially because of the chill-inducing guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen, but anyway the song as a whole is far below those two above.

Cool Favorite MJ Tune

'I'll Be There', and just about everything on 'Off the Wall'.

That's it!

You nailed it. The vibe on the song is just amazing. It's a straightforward song, but MJ's vocals on it get me every time.
