What's the next album you plan on buying? Post a link to a song from the album if possible too, it's always nice to be able to hear what people are listening to . As for me the next album I'm going to buy is definitely going to be Les Mysteres De Rio by the Brazilian Love Affair Project.

I found out about them through a bit of a roundabout way. USA is running a new commercial for their show Psych with a few of the characters playing some song. I could tell that it was a parody but I really dug it and decided to check Youtube to see if it was an actual song. Turns out that its Private Eyes by Hall & Oats. Listening to it, I just felt like it had to have a lounge-style cove out there somewhere by somebody so I opened iTuens to check it out and Ta-da! There's the Brazilian Love Affair Project's version right there and it sounded great, as did the rest of the album.

I basically wanted some way to tell this interesting-to-me-but-probably-boring-to-everyone-else story so I made this thread .

Anywho, here's a link to the song the started and ended all of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OVNPE6eh7o

My most recent Amazon order. Haven't received anything but McLusky so far. I had most of this album on a mix CD made for me years ago, but haven't actually owned it. Great bass tones and a perfect mix of themes, lyrics, and vocals for the angry manic and depressed reflector.

I've been going through a Clash phase, and Sandinista! is the only classic era Clash album I've yet to own. Raekwon made it on there because I need some hip hop in my life, I'm getting too burned out on rock, and Limp Bizkit because I'm trying to anger my girlfriend.

I just downloaded the Crazy Heart soundtrack and the latest Jon Dee Graham release from Amazon. Good price on both. If you like Alt-county, check them out.

Something by John McLaughlin. Something electric. Something fusiony. Maybe that one with Dennis Chambers and Hadrien Feraud. Or maybe replace my copy of Birds of Fire that I had lost so long ago.
