Youtube / Audio Clips of Your Band's BEST CoVeRs... Post 'Em.

I always like to see what other bands are doing with covers. Maybe its a close copy of the original or maybe its a cover with a twist.

So yeah, love to hear what your band does with cover tunes.

Youtube, audio clip, soundcloud... whatever.

Here is my old band's version of Folsom Prison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVr9XXoAh_I

Please share yours.

We do Bad Romance somewhere between Lady Gaga and Halestorm. It kills on the dancefloor. We don't play quite as heavy as Halestorm, and no screaming. It's closer to Gaga but more guitar.

Also, a mashup by David Usher between P!nk and Ozzy. He leaves off one of the verses, we fit it in. It's not so danceable, but it gets attention.

We've been doing SexyBack with more guitar, almost like the Poison cover of it. It's just a teaser into dance songs, though, because nobody seems all that into it.

Billie Jean is a staple, lots of dancing. We have more guitar than the original, but it's not that far off.

I rarely comment on clips because I feel if you can't say anything nice don't say anything.

Nice work! I'm impressed.

Here are some multi-song demo clips I've done with my lounge band...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_25qq...aCnEo9xhlZiwsw

Stooges- Search and Destroy
Not our best or the most popular song we play but one of my favorite songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWcFF_1WVz0

Ramones- Somebody Put Something in My Drink
My favorite Ramones song by Dee Dee and I get to sing this one. Check out the trainwreck at the beginning. First, drummer comes in with the drum intro too soon while guitar and I are trying to cop a quick tune. In the haste I come in with no sound, tuner still on. Watch me quickly check amp, cord, volume on bass and then realize it's the floor tuner and stomp on it. Guitarist is also rushed and comes in on rythym channel instead of crunch then he breaks a string right as I start my vocals and it makes a horrible sound. Check out my expression as I glance over at him. He changes guitars and comes in at the first chorus and we manage to pull it together for the rest of the song.

Another not the best performance, or the best recording (or even a good recording - off a Sony still camera in movie mode), but this one was a good time. This is my for-fun project with some old heads. This was the first time I had played with the guitarist since we were about 14. It was big fun.

Same night (same camera), another fun one. I just really dug this song. I just learned it in the days prior. I wish I had seen the Tal Wilkenfeld video. I would have taken a stab at copping some of her licks.

Good stuff on the demo video (wished some of the clips were longer).

We're doing both of these in a band I joined no too long ago. Interesting that you've found people aren't into SexyBack. I've only played it out once so far. I guess we'll need to keep an eye out on that one for reaction. I can't say I was familiar with it before we picked it up. I'll be curious on some more outings.

Ha, cool videos!

This is one of my band's take on Maggot Brain. Pardon our singer, this was our last song of a 6 hour gig and he had completely lost his pitch by then(no monitors for him to hear himself either).

Here's my band's version of Folsom Prison Blues with me on vocals. There's a few other covers on that page as well.

This is my buddies and me doing a pretty much completely improv'd jam at my house at school, couldn't figure out how to trim it on soundcloud but check out around 15-20 minutes and 21 minutes for you *funk* fans out there.

We just started playin together and I wanna get some opinions that are different than my very biased self.... appreciate it and keep the beats churnin!
