...i posted a few playalongs on you playalong.com instead.
Youtube blocked my video within 6 hours. I thought it was possible to post them on the tube since marlowedk seems to be posting there again, but i guess i was wrong.
These are my first videos i posted on the web. Mainly did them to have a goal for the songs i learn.
They are Chaka Khan songs with Anthony Jackson on bass. I found transcriptions for them on www.stevieglasgow.com
Let me know what you think :-) http://www.youplayalong.com/video/93...im--Chaka-Khan http://www.youplayalong.com/video/6b...ht--Chaka-Khan

Anyway....did you guys listen to the tracks?

1) Go to "My Videos"
2) Click "view copyright info"
3) Click "Learn more about the dispute process"
4) File a claim; choose #2 and write something like "it's a playalong not intended for copyright infringement"
Give it about an hour or even less and your video should be back up. I have this problem all the time. Yes, it's extremely annoying, but you can't really do anything about it.

Nice bass too... What are the specs (pickups/wood/scale) and what settings are you using in those videos? |

I'm boosting the bass a bit an cutting the passive tone to about half. Since my Demeter preamp is broken at the moment, I'm just running through a fishman DI and into my cheap-ass Behringer Mixer, and into the soundcard of my MacBook

Since you have some nice Fenders and the Nordy with the Big Splits, I was wondering if you could compare the tonal characteristics.
I love the playability of Carey's basses, but I want to make sure I get a mean, aggressive, mid-focused sounding instrument, and NOT a pretty, polite, full-range sounding one. What are the differences you hear in the attack, fundamental, and grind on the Nordy vs. the Fender CS?
Thanks a lot! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
