Thank You so much for linking the Ornette clip. They showed a 20 second excerpt on a retrospective years ago and I have been trying to find the whole performance ever since!

True...& none(except maybe Capt. Beefheart) made that 5-DVD set put out as a SNL-music retrospective.

Hansen & the Spice Girls did make the cut, though...I guess for laffs?
